Lessons are carried out in ways that uniquely emphasize simple elegance. Offered within this approach is a wholly encompassing system of guitar pedagogy; combining ear training, a deep understanding of harmonic and rhythmic structure, knowledge of the instrument, simple presentations, and informed adaptations to the individual student's presented needs and interests. The current curriculum frames core musical concepts in areas of mathematics, cognitive science, philosophy, and more.

Elizabeth has taught thousands of lessons, worked with hundreds of beloved students, and is the founder/owner of a highly regarded lessons studio, Root Note Studio, with locations in Nashville, TN and Lowell, MA. She considers her preparation in guiding the development and cultivation of effortless musical expression in others to be an absolute privilege, applying her curriculum to every student with a distinctive and personal approach.

In addition to online and in-person lessons, Elizabeth is available for music clinics, panel discussions, and workshops.
