A skilled and seasoned guitarist, Elizabeth lives for music. She has been studying the guitar for over 20 years (as well as many other instruments -- tenor sax, pedal steel guitar, and bassoon to name a few). She is known as a strong and dependable touring, sub, and session musician, as well as an inspiring and passionate music educator.

Elizabeth has toured extensively throughout her career, working with Grammy award-winning performers and internationally acclaimed acts. She has appeared onscreen as a guitarist on the set of "Nashville," and onstage opening for acts such as The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Kool and the Gang, George Benson, Leon Russell, Zucchero, Patricia Kaas, Christine and the Queens, Richard Hodgsdon (Supertramp), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Martina McBride, and more.

She is also the founder of Root Note Studio, a highly regarded music lessons studio that served Lowell, MA and Nashville, TN for 15 years. Through her work building and managing Root Note, her dedication to exemplary, accessible music instruction and community music is abundantly clear. She continues to teach students of all ages and abilities, and is often sought out as a specialized instructor to some of Nashville's finest performers and songwriters.

Having recently relocated to Jyväskylä, Finland, Elizabeth spends her time indulging her love of learning as a Fulbright grantee, Finnish language learner, and graduate student in the music and science master's degree program at JYU. Alongside her research, she continues to teach guitar and pedal steel guitar lessons via Zoom, enjoying the chance to connect with a diverse, global student base.
